Spring Dance Recital

This last weekend the girls had their first dance recital. We started official dance lessons this Feb, and I have to say, we have enjoyed them. It reminds me of when I was their age and danced. I am so glad that my daughters can experience a little bit of my childhood, too.

We have been attending Spark Dance Academy. They're a small studio, but they're growing. The owners are super sweet and are great with the girls. I like how wholesome they are. Plus they are really reasonable on price- which is a total bonus!! $$ ka-ching!

The girls have been going once a week for a full hour. Both on Tuesdays, which makes it a super busy afternoon, especially when Kailey has activity days at church, but it's a good kind of busy.

Charis did a cute little number to "Jolly Holiday" from Mary Poppins. It was really sweet, and she did great!

Kailey did a dance to the music intro from "Up". She did a great job as well. I am so pleased with how well they did. Does this mama heart good!

Sorry for the short clips, the camera I grabbed didnt have as much battery life as I had thought....
But you get most of their performances and get to see how cute they are!

We're looking forward to our summer dance camps and the fall session to begin. I can't wait to see how they blossom in to the young women they will become.

Catch Up... Sorry!

....SIGH!...

I have been so terribly awful at keeping up on this darn thing! I think about it, I DO, I promise!

Where to start.... how about most recent and work my way backwards. Most recent I would say is EASTER!  This year was a busy Easter with General Conference being on the same weekend. On Sat we decorated eggs while listening to the first session of confrence.

After that, for lunch we went to Grandma Baysinger's and ate with the cousins. We also had a fun egg hunt!

We then all sat and slept through watched the second session of conference together! ( we may or may not have sent some children outside... hee. )

It was a fun afternoon, and the kids loved it. The next day was of course Easter, and you know what that means! Peter Cottontail made his way to our house. As you can see, we made out like bandits!

This was Reid's first Easter. I think he liked it...

After baskets we have to find all those eggs that pesky bunny likes to hide. (And you pray you don't lose any...)

Then it was time to watch the fist session of  Sunday and get dressed so we could make it to Grandma's before second session started.

We hope your Easter was just as busy fun. :)
