"Two Eggs, Fold in Gently."

For Christmas we gave Kailey a cookbook. Not just any cookbook but a Disney Princess Cookbook. She has been wanting and waiting to make something out of it ever since. Finally I gave in and let her make something. The reason I haven't let her make something until now was because we didn't really have any of the ingredients to make the recipes she wanted to try.

Yesterday she got out her book and started to read me ingredients to recipes she wanted to make. As she would go through the list I would say yes or no to the ingredient needed. When she came to one that had a no in it she would move on to another recipe until we found THE ONE.

"Chip's Bite-Size Cookies"

She was happy to finally find one she could make. Of course she wanted to do it all by herself and I let her. (for the most part)

After a little help, they didn't turn out too bad. She loved them ( and so did Charis!) and that's all that matters. It was fun to watch her learn how to read a recipe and to measure ingredients.

I couldn't help but think of poor Fauna as she was baking for the first time too. :)

I know this isn't the end of the cooking lessons and one day she wont need my help. But for now we will take it one recipe at a time.

End of the Year Round Up.

isn't he just too cute?

Alright, let's get this started.

THANKSGIVING

Our Thanksgivings are always busy. We start our munching at the Hatch's. It's a big gathering of Boyd's family and it always starts at noon. It always has tons of variety to choose from, which makes it hard to not get too full. After were done there we head to my families gathering. This year it was at my mother's and it also included some of Pat's family. Once again, too much food! By the end of the day, we were stuffed.

CHRISTMAS TIME

Kailey and I were lucky enough to be invited to attend The Nutcracker with the ever lovely Leonhardt women. It being Kailey's first ballet, she was super excited.
Ila, Brenda, Kailey, Amber and Megan

Needless to say she LOVED it. Her favorite part was "THE WHOLE THING" or so she tells me. I think her favorite part was when the "snow" comes down during the snow fairies dance.{ She let out a slight gasp when it started to snow. }

* got this from google, it is not my  picture. :)

some of other fun things that  happened this Christmas season was that the girls got letters from Santa and I made a cherry pie. I have to say, it was pretty yummy.

Christmas Sunday the girls and the boy got to dress up. My mother bought the girls their dresses. They are very nice and more of a purple. (they look a little pinky in these pictures..) I LOVED Reid in his suit. He was toooooo adorable for this mama's heart to handle.

Reid has been super smiley lately and he also is laughing. It is sooo cute! I try and capture it as much as I can.

cute happy boy!

he didn't want to smile for me..
here Boyd was playing with him and he was loving it.

NEW YEARS EVE

On the 1st my parents came back from their cabin and brought back a cold wintery treat. SNOW! They brought back snow for the girls to play in. It didnt last long but we got in a couple of snowballs and a snowman or two. It was a fun surprise, even though it didnt last long. (but that's why we live where we live isn't it?)

this is the photo I sent to my cousin Sean. He lives in Ut. ha ha he found it, lets say... amusing. ;)

Reid wearing his Batman beanie. sorry it's blurry, but he is still cute!

and finally to wrap up, Kailey lost her 7th tooth! Now we are just waiting for Charis to join in on this teeth losing business. I have a feeling this year is her year. ;)

HERE'S TO 2015!
may it be a fun, productive, and memorable one.
